Harry Potter

Bailey looked at him, "I'm not going to argue with you.." She placed her hands on his shoulders and tried to move him from her path.

He didn't move. Instead he just grabbed one of her hands and frowned. "I do not want to argue. I just want to know what you would have me do instead. Run and hide? What else is there for me to do?"

Bailey looked at him, "You've made it clear to me that you don't want to do anything else. Be a man, if that's what you can call being a man. It was my mistake though, you told me you didn't love me, and stupid me, I just keep loving you." She said softly, looking at the floor again.

"I have no other choice." He scowled. "If you have a better idea, then by all means, share it."

"At least give a damn." She said, feeling his hand grip hers firmly. "I'm aware this is your path, but..." She stammered and looked forward. "Belle.." She said, "What are you doing out of bed?"

Belle was standing there, having her arms crossed, a black eye and a fat lip. "I left the Gryffindor common room because I got beat up by girls who said I belonged in Slytherin.." Her lip twitched slightly as tears welled up in her eyes.

"What makes you think I do not care?" He scowled slightly. When Bailey brought attention to Belle standing there, he studied the young girl for a moment. "Sit." He gestured to the couch, showing that he meant for the both of them to sit. He then bustled about his chambers and lit the fire to warm the place up a little. Once the fire had been lit, it was painfully obvious how bad Snape looked at this point. There were very large dark circles under his eyes, his robes were rather tattered, and he was walking with a very slightly limp. He then set about making tea, mixing some potion or another into one of the cups. "Here. Drink this. It will help bring the swelling down and help with any discomfort." He handed the cup to Belle before handing the other to Bailey.

Belle took the tea and glanced in it. She sipped at it slowly and then smiled softly, "You used Thore plants as the base of this tea.." She said softly.

Bailey sipped at her tea calmly, off in her own little world, staring at the fire place.

Snape eyed Belle out of the corner of his eyes. "It is not the base but it is one of the main ingredients."

Belle nodded softly, "I think I'll head to bed now.." Belle stood and smiled, "Have a good night, Professor Snape.. and mum." She said making her way slowly towards the door.

Snape paused for a moment then nodded his farewell.

When Belle had left, Bailey stood up, "I'll let you go to sleep, you look tired." She said softly, "I can mend your robes for you, if you want."

"Oh.." He glanced down at his robes, apparently surprised at the state that they were in. "I usually send them off to be mended..." He murmured.

Bailey knelt in front of him, "No need.." She said softly, smiling. She pulled out her wand and hummed softly, mending the tattered parts.

Snape frowned slightly but didn't protest. "Thank you..."

Bailey shrugged, "I worked at Madam Malkin's when Belle was young to keep up with rent and other things." She smiled softly.

He glanced down at what she was doing. "You are rather good at it..."

Bailey looked at him gently and smiled, "I did a lot of odd jobs, actually. Housekeeper, seamstress, cook." She shrugged softly, standing up and wiping off her hands on her own robes. "There you go." She said, standing right infront of him.

He paused for a moment, rather unsure of himself. "Thank you..."

"Anyways, like I said, you better get to sleep.." She said softly, "Have a good night."

He paused for a moment. "You do not have to leave..." He murmured.

Bailey looked at him, "Where would I stay?"

"My bed is big enough..." He frowned slightly.

Something clicked in Bailey's head and she lingered, she removed her robe, wearing a long green nightgown. "Alright.." She said softly.

He nodded slightly. He then set about his chambers, straightening things up, putting out the fire, and getting himself ready for bed.

Bailey lied in his bed, feeling the fires dims embers being put out, it was now cold, but underneath Severus's warm blanket, it wasn't too bad.
