Twilight/New Moon/Thingies!

"Perfect timing." Jake grinned at his father.

That night, she wondered if Edward would be there. For a week straight nothing. Bailey had been ill from the chemotherapy and she made her way to biology that day, not in the best of moods. When she came into the room, wearing the usual jeans, boots and the sweater, but this time wearing a bandana over her head so she didn't lose her hair visibly. hen she saw Edward was there, she took a seat beside him.

Edward's eyes were a bright gold colour now, very different from the near-black they were before. When she came in, he didn't stiffen as visibly as before. After a moment or so, he seemed to relax ever so slightly. However, he still didn't say anything or look at her.

Bailey looked at him softly, "You were gone. I had to do the whole group project myself." She frowned softly at the mention of another group project and wondered how much more work would need to be done solo.

"Sorry." He murmured stiffly. "I'll do this one then." He kept his eyes toward the front on the room.

"It's not a conetst. Where did you go? Were you well?" Her eyes softened.

There was a long pause. "My family, except for Carlisle and Esme, went camping."

Bailey nodded softly and turned back to her lab worksheet. "Oh." She said softly, shaking her head.

"We try to go camping like that at least once a month." His speech seemed to be a little stiff, like he wasn't used to talking to other people.

Bailey looked at him, "I love camping too. Just not during school days." She frowned softly.

He shrugged slightly. "I'm not too worried about missing school."

Bailey nodded softly, "It's anaphase." She said, pushing the microscope towards him.

He barely even looked at the microscope before nodding his agreement.

Bailey blinked softly, suddenly getting a bout of sickness and gripping the counter for support she started to breath abnormally.

"Are you okay?" He seemed to be oddly worried, even actually looking at her.

"I'm fine.. Just.." She bolted out of the classroom and made her way to a hallway alone and just sat there, trying not to be sick.

"No you're not." Edward had followed her out but she didn't notice until he spoke.

Bailey glanced up, "I'm just not feeling well. I'll be fine, go back to class. I'll be there in a minute." She said softly, leaning her head against the wall.

"No." He settled himself down on the ground a few feet away from her, leaning against the wall.

When the sickness had passed she leaned against the wall, hearing her heart beat. "Oh god. I feel soo ill." She frowned softly.

"Need to go to the nurse?" He murmured.

"No no, I think I just have the flu." She softly and looked at him.

"Then you should go see my father." He stated simply.

Bailey stood weakly and looked at Edward. "You go from acting like I'm the worst thing on the planet to acting all protective and caring, make up your mind." She walked into the girls washroom, slamming the door behind her.

Edward frowned slightly but didn't move from his spot on the floor.
