"No, I'm not." She smiled slightly. "I've just got a lot on my mind."

Bailey walked along with her friend. "Spill." She said softly, looking at Rei.

Rei smiled slightly. "Well, ain't you nosy."

Bailey blinked, "I saved your ass, dearie. I believe you owe me an explanation." She said in her most mothering tone, but she was just joking.

Rei glanced at Bailey for a moment in silence. "I'm just....confused." She frowned slightly.

Bailey blinked, "What, why?" She sat on the grass, pulling Rei down with her.

Rei flopped back on the grass and linked her hands behind her head. She stayed silent for a moment. "Fred." She stated simply.

Bailey nodded, "I figured as much.." She said. "So tell me what's the dealio..?" She said, lying down beside her friend.

"It just can't happen." She frowned. "I love this job and I can't just waste it all for some kid."

Bailey shook her head, "I understand, but you want to... You're a kid, Rei. You're not some 29 year old with a 17 year old student." She sighed gently.

"Even so, I'd still get fired." She shrugged slightly. "Age doesn't matter to the board. Just that I'm his teacher."

Bailey nodded softly and sighed. "I'm sorry.." She said softly. "I'd offer a solution, but there seems to be none."

She shrugged again. "I've just got to grin and bear it, I guess."

Bailey nodded softly, hugging her friend. "I suppose."

Rei returned the hug slightly and shrugged. "Nothing else I can do."

Bailey looked at her friend and smiled. "Lets go have dinner, it smells good.." She said softly, drowning her doubts and worries about her own love life.

"I'm not really all that hungry." She sighed slightly and frowned.

Bailey pulled her along, "You need my heartbreak cure.." She said softly, "Comon.." She grinned softly.

"Heartbreak cure?" Rei raised an eyebrow slightly and followed Bailey.

Bailey poured her friend a glass of brandy and smiled softly, pouring herself one. "I can.. make you a potion too that makes you deal with it better." She shrugged softly.

Rei glanced at the brandy before drinking it in one gulp. "I'm not heartbroken though." She shrugged slightly. "Just confused."

Bailey sighed, "Rei.. You should have a chance to be a kid, be young! I know you love this job, but.. To not be able to mingle with somebody your age.. It's just ridiculous.." She downed her brandy and sat down.

Rei raised an eyebrow. "He's not my age though." She paused. "And I can mingle. Just nothing more."

"Still.." She uttered and then poured them another glasss of brandy, "I wish we had normal lives.. You know the kind with normal husbands and boyfriends."

Rei downed the brandy in one gulp. "I sorta like not having a normal life. Normalcy is highly overrated."
