"They were not going to kill you." Ororo explained calmly. "We found some of their files and they were planning on experimenting on you all." She frowned slightly. "The walls were electrified so that no one would attempt to destroy the walls or whatnot."

"Not what it looked like from my angle when they were lowering the big giant electrified conductor into the cell."


"They were going to kill us." Rogue said softly.

"You know,whatever, you adults can believe whatever the hell you like, you weren't in there." She stood and walked away rather quickly.

Ororo frowned slightly but didn't say anything.

Bailey went to the edge of the grounds and leaned against the fence, looking out at the freedom, or what represented freedom, anyways.

"Why does Charles put up these fences when he says he fights for freedom and equality?" Magneto was standing not too far away, outside the fence.

"I don't know, you'd have to ask him that yourself.." She spun around, leaning on the fence, "Perhaps it's to keep people like you, out."

"He knows these fences cannot keep me out." He smiled. "It is to keep you lot in, like sheep."

"Yeah right." She rolled her eyes, "He's so awful, right?"

"I am not saying that. Charles is a great man. I just do not agree with his methods, as he does not agree with mine." He paused momentarily. "You do not seem to be too happy with some of his X-Men."

Bailey looked at him, "So what if I'm not, what's it to you? Magneto?"

"I was just observing." He smiled slightly. "What you did was very brave and none of them see that. None of them seem to appreciate you."

Bailey looked at Magneto, "I' not sure if I'm to take that as a compliment or an insult, coming from you."

"It was meant as a compliment, my dear." He smiled slightly. "I can see you are not too keen on speaking with me today so I will leave you to your thoughts but remember, my offer still stands. There are a few others I believe would leave as well. Good day, my dear." He bowed slightly, turned, and disappeared into the woods.

Bailey sighed gently and lit up a cigarette, taking a very long drag.

The part of the grounds she was in was rather deserted so no one bothered her at all.

When Bailey returned to the mansion for dinner, she looked around, slipping into the kitchen quietly to get a plate, content to eat somewhere else.

Arti was sitting up on one of the counters, looking rather forlorn. When she noticed Bailey, however, she managed a smile. "Hey. Feeling better?"

Bailey shrugged softly and grinned "A bit.." She started to bite into her pie and several students noticed she hadn't eaten dinner and got pie for themselves before dinner.

Rogue grinned softly, "Pie, that sounds amazin'." She said, while getting up.

"Things'll get better." She smiled slightly. Glancing at Rouge out of the corner of her eyes, she frowned for a moment before replacing it with a slight smile. "Remy's off looking for you."

Rogue shrugged softly, " He knows where the dinner table is.." She glanced up, "I never miss out on a good meal."

"Speak of the devil." Arti muttered to herself just as Remy came in. He glanced at Arti momentarily before turning all his attention to Rogue.

"I need t'tal' t'you, negresse." Arti frowned slightly and hopped off the counter.

"I'm gonna go train. Wanna work off some of your stress or other negative feelings in the training room with me?" She directed this at Bailey.

Bailey shrugged softly, glancing at Logan quickly before walking with Arti. "Sure, that might help.." She said softly.

Logan was oddly absent from the dining area. Arti nodded at Bailey and left the kitchens without even glancing at Remy and Rogue. She made her way down to the Danger Room and stopped right outside its door. "Any preferences for the program?"

Bailey shrugged, "Nope, whatever you want." She smiled at her friend.

"Hm...'kay." She went into the control room to set it up. After a few moments, she came into the main part of the Danger Room. "I basically just set it to random. It's gonna give us a random setting and a group of random enemies. We won't hafta fight Sentinels or any of those uber powerful mutants like Professor X or Magneto." She paused. "Should be fun." She grinned widely as the Danger Room wavered and vanished around them, slowly transforming into what looked like a bunch of back alleys from New York.
