Harry Potter

Bailey broke out into a grin and then started to laugh silently, stepping away from the wall to continue down the hall.

"What is so humorous?" Snape frowned slightly and followed her.

"You're just such a gentleman, it's just funny. I guess we've grown up a lot.." She sighed softly.

"Well, I am supposed to be patrolling." He smiled slightly. "And we have grown. It would be slightly worrying if we hadn't."

"I would still be gawkish.." She stuck out her tongue gently, making her way slowly onto the moving staircases.

"I never thought you were gawkish." He murmured quietly.

"You're about the only one." She said softly, yawning gently.

"Are you tired?" He glanced at her after a moment of silence. "You can go on to bed. I can finish up by myself."

Bailey smiled, "I'm fine my dear.." She said softly, walking towards the dungeons.

"If you insist." He shrugged a bit.

Bailey smiled softly, "So I guess this is good night.." She stopped infront of his chambers. "Since patrolling is over.." She smiled at him.

"I suppose it is." He smiled slightly. "Thank you for the company." He leaned forward tentatively and kissed her gently on the cheek. "Good night."

Bailey waved at him, "Night.." She said softly, turning around and making her way towards her chambers on the third floor.

He watched her go before vanishing into his chambers.

The next morning, she was at breakfast really early, eating, dressed up in emerald robes. It accented her hair and her eyes strikingly.

Rei came into the Great Hall looking like she had slept outside. She just sorta collapsed into her chair at the staff table and began to eat, ignoring the weird looks she was getting from nearly everyone. The weird stares intensified when Fred came in, moments later, looking just as ragged.

Bailey rolled her eyes slightly and stretched softly, she was glad today was saturday and she didn't have to teach.

When the owls came with the mail that morning, a tawny owl landed in front of Rei with a very official looking letter. She read it in silence then just got up and left the Great Hall without even glancing at anyone.

Bailey had been reading her owl from her best friend and she noticed Rei leaving, she frowned and walked out behind her. "Whats the matter, Rei?"

Rei jumped slightly and spun around to face Bailey, tears brimming her eyes. "I'm on probation." She sniffed slightly. "That board of whatever that Lucius Malfoy's a part of that keep an eye on Hogwarts and all, sent me that letter. Apparently there's some suspicion that I'm fooling around with some of my students." She shoulders shook slightly as she held back her tears. "This job's too important to me to screw it up like that. They're coming later to question me with Vertaserum."

Bailey touched her shoulder, "Well then.. if you are innocent.. You have nothing to worry about Rei.." She said softly. "Lets go see Severus, maybe he can help you.."

"I don't think he'd be too willing to help me." Her breath came in ragged gasps as she was attempting to hold back her tears.

Bailey pushed Rei into a hug. "You have to tell me whats going on between you and Fred.." She whispered. "It's the only way I can help."

"Nothing!" She looked up, her wide eyes connecting with Bailey's. "We ended up falling asleep outside last night but nothing happened. Nothing has happened."

"Then you have nothing to worry about." She said softly, shaking her head. "Try to calm down.."
