She buried her face in her hands, taking deep shaky breaths trying to calm herself down a bit. "He kissed me once." She murmured from between her fingers. "I pushed him away but Lucius will be able to twist that and get me fired."

"Oh no... " She said softly, she sighed gently. "You can't.. tell anyone I have this... " She walked into the girls washroom and handed her a vial, "Drink it.. think about the memory and it'll soon be gone.." She whispered, "And don't tell Severus, he'd kill me."

"I..." Rei stammered slightly, taking the potion. She paused for a few moments, deep in thought, before taking a deep breath and drinking the potion in one gulp.

Bailey put the vial away in her robes. " So... What happened between you and Fred?"

Rei looked up, eyes still wide but she was a bit calmer now. "N-nothing." She took a deep breath. "We fell asleep outside but we weren't even touching."

Bailey nodded softly, "You need to nap, let the potion run through your system." She said, leading her towards her chambers.

Rei nodded and took another deep breath. "will you stay with me while they're interrogating me?"

Bailey nodded, "I can be there.." She said, lying her down on her bed, "And I can stay with you now, if you like.."

"Please..." Rei murmured as she laid down and promptly fell asleep.

Bailey sat on the bed with Rei and then eventually lied down beside her and fell asleep.

Rei was woken a few hours later by a loud knocking on her chamber door. She jumped up and ran to answer the door to reveal Lucius Malfoy flanked by Snape, who was carrying a vial of clear potion, presumably the Vertiserum.

"I assume you remember that you were to be interrogated today." Malfoy looked down his nose at her as he pushed past her into the room.

"Oh, um, yes. I'm sorry. I was just napping..." She murmured as Snape followed Malfoy into the room.

Bailey had gotten up, pacing back and forth. When Severus came in she froze, her eyes shut. She looked at Lucius and smirked. Ah yes, this was the man that made fun of her all those years ago. "Ah. Mr. Malfoy.." She said softly, "Nice to see you again."

Malfoy sat on the couch that was in there and looked at Bailey when she spoke to him. His eyes slowly drifted up and down her body. "I see you have filled out well." He turned back to Rei, who had sat in the chair across from the couch. "You do know why I am here?" He glared at her but she just nodded. "Good. We can go ahead and get this over with." He nodded to Snape, who handed Rei the clear potion, glancing at Bailey. Rei opened it and drank it in one quick gulp. "What are the charges against you?"

"I am believed to be fooling around inappropriately with some of my students." Rei stated.

"And have you?" He raised one well groomed eyebrow.

"No." Rei locked gazes with him.

"Very well. You are believed to have been fooling around with a Fred Weasley." He smirked slightly. "A blood traitor." Rei's eyes narrowed slightly but she didn't comment. "I've been told that you spend more time with him than with your other students."

"Well, yes." Rei shrugged slightly. "But that's because he's managed to earn himself a detention for every day he's been in school."

"And you haven't sent him to the headmaster yet?"

"Oh I have. Dumbledore seems to believe that him carrying out with detentions with me is acceptable."

Bailey sat down and looked at Severus, she then watched the conversation. She thought Rei was being perfectly reasonable.

Snape glanced at Bailey, narrowing his eyes slightly, but didn't say anything.

"Well, I have an eyewitness that said that both you and Mr. Weasley were out afterhours."

"I have caught him out of bed after hours while I was patrolling one night. I gave him another week of detentions, which would make him miss the first Quidditch game of the season and escorted him back to his common room." She stated calmly.

"Very well." Lucius stated after a few moments. "We are through here." He stood. "Come, Severus. I need to speak with your headmaster." Lucius frowned slightly and strode out of the room without another word. Snape stood and after throwing one last glance at Bailey, followed behind Malfoy. Once they were gone, Rei sighed.

"I wonder when this Vertaserum's gonna wear off."

Bailey rubbed her temple, "If Severus says anything.. I'm so fucked.." She said softly. "Sleep it off Rei, it usually wears off in an hour or two.."

"I'm gonna go get some lunch first." She smiled slightly and stood, stretching a bit.

Bailey walked from the room, "I have to go mark some papers.." She said softly, making her way towards the library, which was deserted on the saturday at lunch.

"Thank you so much." She murmured as Bailey left.

Bailey walked into the library and sat down in the back of the library, leaning backwards and rubbing her forehead.

The library stayed nearly empty for a while until Snape came in, about half an hour later. He noticed Bailey in the back and frowned slightly, swooping over to where she was. "Did you modify her memory?" He scowled.

"Yep." She said softly, "I'm aware it was wrong. " She said softly, "Am I fired yet?" She said softly, rubbing her temples.

He narrowed his eyes. "Why did you do it?"

Bailey looked at him, "Because he had kissed her, and she had pushed him away. That was the only memory I altered, because Malfoy's vile and I don't want my friend to lose her job over absolutely nothing." She said, looking up, "I appreciate your concern, but he's a nasty, ugly death eater that has been proven to be helping the dark lord.. He's not fooling anybody." She frowned softly.

Snape just scowled then promptly turned around and stalked out.
