"What're y'doin' up so late, honeychile?" Remy smiled slightly at her from his position on the couch.

Bailey shrugged softly, "I'm not tired.." She said softly, looking at Remy. "What about you, Gambit?" She smiled softly.

"Too much on my min' t'be sleepin'." He smiled sadly.

Bailey nodded, "I know how you feel.." She stared over at Logan. "I know how you feel.." She said softly.

"D'you really now?" He raised an eyebrow slightly, apparently amused. "I'm sorry t'say dis, boo, bu' I fin' dat a little har' t'believe."

Bailey looked at him slightly, "Really?" She looked at him. "Ugh. whatever.." She leaned back and forgot she wasn't on the couch, so she collapsed onto the floor right by the armchair, she groaned. "Fuck.. Who put that floor there?"

"I don' t'ink you're torn between two amazin' women who are bo'h mad at you at th' momen'." He frowned slightly and then jumped a bit as she fell. "You okay?" He offered her a hand to help her up.

"Could you two be any louder?" Logan, who was apparently awake by this point, growled angrily at the two then stood and just stalked out.

Bailey rubbed her forehead and grabbed Remy's hand. "No, that's because I'm not a manwhore." She rolled her eyes and stood up, turning around. "Who pissed in your cornflakes?" She yelled behind Logan, who she knew could hear her.

"I'm no' a manwhore jus' because I fell in love wit' two dif'ren't people." He frowned as he stood. "Seems like Magneto was righ' abou' dis place." He sighed slightly as he walked off.

"Well I was trying to sleep but that's a little hard when the two of you are griping about your love lives." Logan growled, not turning to face her.

"I wasn't griping about my love life and maybe, just maybe if you wanted to sleep, go up to your room and do so, huh." She growled and laid down on the couch.

"Hmph." Logan swore and just stomped away.

She changed the channels on the T.V quickly until she found something she could watch and she started to fall asleep there, her eyes drooping shut.

The next morning, when Bailey woke up, she found herself lying on a cot in a rather large room. The walls, ceiling, and floor of this room was all made of rather thick metal. There wasn't any obvious doors or windows or any other way to get in or out. Pushed up against the walls of the room were more cots like the one Bailey was lying in and lying in those cots were other people Bailey had seen around the school. The only one of them, however, that she actually knew who it was just so happened to be Remy. Bailey was the only one awake so far. The rest seemed to be peacefully asleep.

Bailey bolted up and bolted towards Remy, "Remy.." She whispered quietly, unsheathing her spikes from her arm.

"Wha..." He sat up groggily. "Wha' are y'doin' in m'room?" His words were slurred together even more than usual. As his eyes started to focus, he realized where he was. He swore under his breath and attempted to get up, stumbling a bit.

Bailey helped Remy up and blinked softly, "Where are we?" She said softly.

Even with her help, Remy was having trouble staying upright so he just sat down on the edge of the cot that he had been on. "Yer guess is as goo' as mine." He looked around the room carefully and at the other students that were still asleep. "Mais, I don' t'ink dat t'ey wan' us de'd jus' ye', if at all. Ot'er den bein' drugge' an' kidnappe', we're unharmed."

"I didn't get drugged, my body would heal me too fast anyway, so whoever it was knew that, and didn't drug me." She said, steadying Remy.

All of a sudden, a part of the wall just bent back and Magneto strode in. The wall bent back to its original shape behind him. "Oh, you were drugged, my dear. Just long enough to get you here without disturbing your sleep."

Bailey jumped backwards, growling. "You.." She said softly, "What do you want?"

"I just want to offer you a better life." He opened his arms wide for a moment. "I can offer all of you a better life." He glanced around the room, looking at each of the students, who were all now awake, in turn

"A better life for who? I'm not a killer and I feel humans are just as important as us." She said softly.

"Even though, if given the chance, they would kill you on sight?" He raised an eyebrow slightly.

"So what makes you think we're the ones that belong then?" She tilted her head softly.

"Because we are the next logical step in evolution. How else can you explain these powers of ours?" He paused for a moment to pace around the room. "And the reason why I chose you all specifically is because you are the outcasts of the outcasts and not trusted by those meant to be your friends and teammates." He glanced at both Bailey and Remy in turn as he spoke.
