Repo! The Genetic Opera

GraveRobber sighed as he watched Bailey one day. "Ya know, if we're gonna save her, you've gotta get out of bed one of these days." He frowned slightly.

"What would you know about it?" She said softly, "Why aren't you out there trying to save her, huh? You're her father, or have you forgotten." She stated softly, looking down and out the window.

"I know I stand even less than a snowball's chance in hell of saving her by myself. I'd be killed before I was able to do any sort of good." He frowned. "And yeah, I'm crushed but I've been taking care of two fully grown women that refuse to get out of bed, so I haven't really had the time to lay around and cry." He shrugged slightly and turned to leave. "But I've also managed to find out where they are and a bit about that woman. What have you been doing?" He left the room and shut the door behind him.

Bailey knew he was right, but after birthing Serenity, she didn't know if she had the strength to even fight.

GraveRobber sighed sadly. He didn't think that either of them would ever go back to normal again.

Bailey walked down the stairs shakily, she was dressed in a sweater and jeans. She walked through the doors leading to the kitchen. "Get your coat." She said softly.

"So you're just gonna rush in like that?" GraveRobber frowned slightly, watching her from his place on the couch. "You can barely stand."

"What is it with you? I don't most of my fighting ith my mind, not my hands." She said softly.

"But if you're gonna try to bust into that place, you'll need to be at full strength both mentally and physically." Rei was standing on the bottom step, leaning heavily against the wall. The white of her eyes had gone back to normal by now but the iris of her left eye was black. Her now mismatched and rather unsettling gaze bored into Bailey. "She ain't gonna harm your kid yet. Ya got at least a year, if the kid doesn't have powers. But she will. So she's safe and can wait till you get your strength up enough."

Bailey looked at Rei and bit her tongue and then sat down at the table, sighing gently. "God.." She shook her head gently.

GraveRobber got up and went to her side. "What is it?" He frowned slightly.

Rei just stared at the two for a moment before turning and silently going back to the guest bedroom.

"I hurt.... I'm just not.. ever since.." Her lip quivered slightly, "I'm just weak.."

He hugged her tightly. "I think you're plenty strong."

Bailey glanced up at him, "Rei needs you, GraveRobber, you should be with her.."

"What makes you think that?" He raised an eyebrow, looking down at her.

Bailey blinked, "Because she hasn't come out of that guest room for six days or so..?" She raised her eyebrow.

"This is the first time you've come out too." He smiled slightly.

Bailey nodded, "Therefore, I'm getting better and she still needs help.." She grinned softly, winking.

"Well, she did come out for a bit." He shrugged slightly. "She's getting better."

Bailey nodded, sipping at her tea, "Work on getting better, huh? I don't know you might have to help me."

He grinned. "You know I'll help you with anything." He gently kissed her for a moment.

Bailey smiled, "You're sweet, but Rei needs you more right now.." She said softly, looking down.

"Nah." He shrugged. "Rei made her choice. If she needs me, she knows where I am."

"That seems really rude.. Do you want some yogurt and strawberries and bananas?" She grinned, moving to the fridge, the first thing about getting her strength was eating healthy.

"It's not. I shouldn't always have to go running after her." He frowned slightly. "If you're that worried, you go help her."
